Kaiju No 8 Episode 12 was the last episode of season 1. However, Kaiju No. 8 has been renewed for a second season, following the success of its first season.
So, Kaiju No 8 episode 13 will be a part of season 2 and creators have confirmed that the upcoming season will be released in 2025. Hence, Kaiju No 8 Episode 13 will be released in 2025.
The announcement came with a short video and confirmation that Koki Uchiyama will be voicing Gen Narumi, the captain of the first division defense force.
He also appeared at the end of season 1 to talk to director Isao who was badly hurt because of his fight with Kaiju No 8.
It is expected that season 2 will continue adapting the manga from where season 1 left off i.e. Chapter 38 or 39, which will include the Kaiju Weapon Arc and Compatible User Arc.
Kaiju No 8 Season 1 Ending Explained
Kaiju No 8 Season 1 ended at Kaiju No 8 Captured Arc. The defense force arrested Kafka and he was taken to the Ariake Maritime Base.
Director Isao personally came to fight Kafka though he told everyone he was going to dispose of Kafka but his intentions were different.
Director Isao fought Kafka at full strength but Kafka lost control and ended up hurting Isao badly. At the end of the fight, Kafka ended up regaining control by punching himself in the chest.
He was then taken to the facility and Director Isao decided to keep him alive and turn him into a weapon against Kaiju.
Only third-division members were happy about this decision, everyone else wanted Kafka to be disposed of.
Kaiju No 9 also appeared at the end of the episode, he is planning his next move on humankind and wants Kaiju No 8 back on his side.
Final Words
Kaiju No 9 will create and send more Kaijus to fight the defense task force. Right now Kaiju No 9 is weaker than Kafka’s Kaiju and he already knows that.
That is why he is going with the smart play right now. Kaiju No 8 Episode 13 will be the adaption of Kaiju Weapon Arc.
Kaiju No 8 ended on 29th June 2024. We will have to wait till 2025 for the next season.
