[Theories] Who Is Going To Die in The Boys Season 4 Episode 8 Finale?

The Boys Season 4 is coming to an end with Episode 8 releasing on 18th July 2024. As of the moment of writing, all the members of The Boys are alive.

A-Train secret is out now and Homelander knows that he is the leak but Sister Sage knew all along about A-Train and she had other plans in her mind.

Butcher, Hughie, and Annie discover plans for a presidential coup and encounter a shapeshifting Supe called “Shapeshifter.” The shapeshifting supe eventually takes the form of Starlight after capturing her.

She then impersonates Annie and steals Hughie’s laptop containing the sensitive information.

Kimiko gets infected with the virus, but Frenchie saves her by amputating her leg. As she is a supe that can regenerate, we see that her leg is regenerating slowly.

Butcher continues to see visions of Joe Kessler, and at the end of the episode, he is unconscious so most likely Kessler will take control of his body.

But that question on everyone’s mind is, who is going to die in the finale? Homelander is now executing people here and there. Ryan has rebelled against his father in front of the whole world. Here is the list of people who I think will end up dead in the finale.

A-Train

The Boys Season 4 has been the redemption Arc of A-Train which is why fans believe he is going to die in the final Episode.

The season finale episode 8 title is Assassination Run which also made fans believe that this is the episode in which A-Train will meet his end.

Besides knowing about Homelander’s true nature, A-Train never left The Seven and has always been scared of Homelander. However, at the end of last season, he changed a bit.

He attempted to redeem himself by confronting Blue Hawk about his racist actions, which resulted in his brother’s paralysis.

A-Train then killed Blue Hawk and his heart was donated to A-Train and that is how he survived last season.

In Season 4, A-Train becomes frustrated and disillusioned with Vought and Homelander and decides to help The Boys after MM convinced him to help the team.

He secretly leaks information to The Boys and saves Hughie’s life. He confesses to Ashley about being the leak.

A-Train saves Mother’s Milk and a little kid sees him saving MM and smiles at A-Train. A-Train then experiences the true feeling of being a superhero.

He fights against The Deep and Black Noir to protect The Boys. In the end, he removes his tracking chip and goes into hiding to escape Homelander.

Most of the fans believe, we are going to see A-Train vs Homelander in the finale episode and A-Train will most likely die fighting him since Homelander is much stronger than him.

Ashley

In The Boys season 4, episode 7, Ashley chooses to stay at Vought despite Homelander finding out about A-Train. Even though Ashley helped A-Train escape, Ashley decided not to leave.

While she doesn’t have superpowers, she has been complicit in many evil acts at Vought. However, she has always been loyal to the Vought and she runs the company publicly.

If Homelander finds out about Ashley knowing about A-Train, he will definitely kill Ashley in this season. It is also possible that she will end up joining The Boys to take down Homelander and for this, Homelander will kill her.

Butcher

Butcher is already suffering from the brain cancer (V Tumor). Homelander after seeing the tumor in his head says he has less than 6 months to live.

This happened due to recklessly taking Temp V to take down Homelander, however, when he got the actual chance, he ended up making a choice between Ryan or Soldier Boy. He chose to protect Ryan.

Butcher has taken the Compound V which didn’t give him any powers but gave the tumor powers and his brain conjured up his old pal Joe Kessler. So, now Butcher has an alter ego telling him to do what he wants to do the most, supe genocide.

At the end of Episode 7 of Season 4, we saw Butcher lying on the floor unconscious and Kessler laughing. Most likely, Kessler will take over Butcher’s body in the finale and fight against The Seven.

While we don’t know the powers of Butcher, when Kessler took over Butcher, he ended up killing Ezekiel.

We don’t know how much time Butcher has left before he dies because of the tumor. However, if he goes against The Seven he will most likely die as both Noir and Deep are unkillable by normal means, and then there is Homelander who is pretty much immortal.

Victoria Neuman

From the start of Season 4, after meeting with Kessler, Butcher’s entire plan was to use the supe-killing virus to kill Neuman and Homelander.

At the start of the season, Hughie tries to throw acid at Neuman but it doesn’t work then Butcher shoots Neuman in the end but it doesn’t work either since she is invulnerable just like Homelander.

Butcher then cuts off the leg of Sameer to fake his death in front of Neuman so that Sameer can make more viruses. Frenchie helps him in making the virus but Sameer asks him if the virus is for Homelander or Neuman and Frenchie says it is for Homelander.

However, we all know the virus strong enough to take down Homelander will be contagious and it will be supe genocide if that virus is released.

Kessler (alter ego of Butcher) wants Butcher to release the virus so that no Supe will exist in the The Boys universe. However, Butcher does not want genocide (deep down he does).

At the end of episode 7, Sameer finished the virus and used the virus on Kimiko. Frenchie quickly cuts off Kimiko’s leg to stop the virus from spreading.

But it confirmed that Virus is now ready to take down Neuman. So most likely, in the finale episode of Season 4 The Boys will use the virus on Victoria Neuman and she will die.

Final Words

Note that these are just theories before the actual episode shows up on Amazon Prime on the 18th of July. There are Season 4 leaks on Reddit, however, nobody knows the authenticity of those leaks so that is why I am not writing about the leaks in this article.
