Find Us on Socials

So, you want to unlock the Warfarer vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2? But there’s a catch… you gotta track down a special kind of drink called Newt Liqueur to make it happen. Sounds weird, I know, but trust me, it’s worth it.

Why Do I Need This Stuff?

Turns out, the Warfarer teacher is a bit of a… let’s call him “eccentric”. He’s more interested in relaxing at a hot spring than teaching you awesome new skills. To get his attention, you’ll need to bribe him with his favorite drink: Newt Liqueur.

Where To Find Newt Liqueur

There are a few ways to get your hands on this elusive alcohol:

The Expensive Option

Higg’s Tavern Stand in Bakbattahl sells Newt Liqueur…if you’re willing to pay 5,000 gold per bottle! Ouch. (Don’t forget your Beastren Mask if you’re human!)

Go to Higg’s Tavern Stand and Buy From Him. Remember You need 3 bottles

Make Your Own Booze

If you’ve got some Fruit Wine and a Saurian Tail, you can combine them to make your own Newt Liqueur! Fruit Wine can be a quest reward or sometimes bought from merchants, and Saurians are those pesky lizard guys you’ll fight all the time.

  • One Saurian Tail + One Fruit Wine Makes Newt Liqueur.

Don’t try to sneak into Higg’s Tavern Stand without your Beastren Mask if you’re a human. The guards will NOT be happy, and you might end up in jail. Not exactly the adventurous start to your Warfarer journey you were hoping for…

Unlocking the Warfarer

Once you’ve got three bottles of Newt Liqueur, head to the Volcanic Island Camp and find Lamond at the hot spring. Make him happy with the drinks, and boom! You’ve unlocked the Warfarer vocation.

Is the Warfarer Worth It?

In my opinion, absolutely! The Warfarer lets you use a ton of different weapons and master Dragon’s Dogma 2’s combat system like no other vocation. Plus, who doesn’t love bribing someone for new skills?
