Team 17, Where's My Overcooked 3?

Find Us on Socials

Seriously, I’m getting hangry over here! Anyone who loves Overcooked is desperate for a third round of that kitchen craziness. Overcooked 2 came out way back in 2018 – that’s like a dinosaur age ago in video game years! Come on, what’s the hold-up?

The Rumors Were So Tasty…

For a while there, it felt like Overcooked 3 was just around the corner. All those rumors and hints, building up the hype… and then BAM. Nothing. It was like they dropped a soufflé and left us starving for more.

Okay, yeah, the “All You Can Eat” remaster was a nice little snack. Shiny graphics are cool and all, but it wasn’t the full, fresh dish we were craving. They even teased us with some new levels, but it just made the wait for a real sequel even worse!

The Devs Speak (Sort Of)

Back in May 2023, we did get a statement from the devs…but it wasn’t exactly encouraging. Basically, they said no firm plans for Overcooked 3 existed at the time. Ouch. Now, here we are in 2024, and it’s still radio silence.

Don’t Get Me Wrong…

I’m not saying Team 17 should drop everything to make Overcooked 3 happen. They make great games, so I’ll happily check out whatever they’re working on next. But a little part of me is seriously bummed that another Overcooked adventure isn’t on the menu.

In the Meantime, What Can Overcooked Fans Do?

Dust off those controllers and revisit Overcooked and Overcooked 2. There’s always more chaos to create and higher scores to chase! Check out titles like “Moving Out” for more co-op craziness, or “PlateUp!” for a fresh twist on restaurant management. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll still get that Overcooked 3 announcement someday. Until then, we can keep dreaming of the hilarious kitchen disasters to come.

Let me know – are you still holding out hope for Overcooked 3, or have you moved on to other multiplayer game?
