How To Play As Goku in Black Myth Wukong – Add Mods in the Game!

A trending single-player game and no mods? Is that even possible? I don’t think so. Goku and the main character from Black Myth: Wukong both have some cool things in common. They’re both based on the Monkey King.

This awesome character comes from a famous Chinese story called “Journey to the West.” The Monkey King is super strong, a bit mischievous, and loves adventure – just like Goku and Wukong from the game!

Goku had a monkey tail when he was young, and his name “Son Goku” actually means “Monkey King” in Japanese. In the game, Wukong is literally the Monkey King himself.

Modders have already come up with a way to change your character into Goku. In this article, I am going to explain how you can get this mod and play as Goku in Black Myth Wukong!

How To Play As Goku

First, you need to download the Son Goku Mod from the NexusMods website. Unzip the folder you just downloaded. Now open Steam and go to Black Myth Wukong, then go to manage, and then click on browse local files.

You will see a folder called b1 open it, then go to content, then Pak. Now open the unzipped folder of the mod, and you will see a b1 there too, go to content, then pak then mods, and copy the mods folder inside into the original Pak’s folder.

Now go back to steam, right click on the Black Myth Wukong, then click on properties. On the bottom, you will see Launch options, type -fileopenlog there.

Now double-click on the game to start it, when you start the game, the mod will not be automatically applied. You will need to change the character’s outfit to the “original outfit” for the mod to take effect.

To do this, press escape in the game, then go to the equipment menu, and then go to outfits and select “Tiger Hide Loincloth”.

Goku Mod for Black Myth Wukong is still not perfect and is currently under development as mentioned by the mod developer.

This mod just changes the outfit, you won’t be able to use Kamehameha on the bosses, that would the less fun and engaging.

How To Uninstall Mods in Black Myth Wukong

To uninstall the mods, you need to do exactly the same, right-click on the game, hover over manage and click on browse local files, go to the b1 folder, content, and simply remove the mods folder from the directory.

This will uninstall any mod you have installed in the game.
