Lookism 528 is here, Gun Park Past Arc is still ongoing and the most awaited fight is going to happen soon as well.
Gun Park is going to fight Shintaro Yamazaki, not because he wants to avenge his father but simply on a whim.
In the latest chapter, he fought with Goo Kim who later became his rival. During this fight, he realized that there were strong opponents in South Korea as well.
Let’s discuss the recap of the previous chapter, and then I will discuss what happened in Lookism 528.
Lookism 527 Recap
After fleeing Japan due to clan conflicts, Gun meets Gapryong, who recognizes him as Shingen Yamazaki’s son. Gapryong advises him to get stronger somewhere safe, leading Gun to juvenile prison.
In prison, Gun becomes the top dog, defeating all 200 inmates who challenge him. Charles Choi, working as a janitor there, takes notice of Gun’s strength.
Charles offers him a deal, promising power and influence if Gun follows his vision of creating a new world led by “crews.”
Impressed by Charles’ ambition, Gun agrees, sealing their future partnership. The chapter ends with Gun being tasked by Charles and crossing paths with Goo Kim.
What Happened in Lookism 528?
Gun Park meets Goo Kim for the first time, he is there to test him as tasked by Charles Choi.
He offers Goo Kim a deal as he knows Goo Kim loves cash. However, Goo Kim realized Gun Park is not even from Korea so he won’t have much to offer. They start fighting, at first, Goo Kim has the upper hand since Gun underestimated him alot.
Later Gun Park goes all out against Goo Kim and throws him towards a pillar along with a cycle. At that moment, Goo Kim grabs the chain of the cycle and pretends that he lost.
He then attacks Gun Park with the chain since he is much stronger with a weapon and now he has it.
He made cuts all over Gun Park’s body and nearly knocked him unconscious. Gun Park was ready to fight him revealing his true UI mode. Instead of just testing, he wanted them to kill each other during that fight now.
However, James Lee arrives and stops the fight. Goo Kim meets Charles Choi where he learns about his plans.
Goo Kim agrees to join him on 3 conditions:
Charles Choi agreed to those terms and tasked them with meeting Tom Lee. Guess they didn’t know who they were actually dealing with this time around.
The test wasn’t shown in the chapter. The panel changes to Charles Choi revealing about the Red Paper to Gun Park.
Gun Park then tells Charles that he is already planning to go to Japan. Fast forward, we get to see Gun Park arrive in Japan outside the Yamazaki temple.
He defeats all the guards and Shintaro is there waiting for him. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger with Shintaro saying “I was waiting for you” and Gun Park telling him he is not there to avenge Shingen but on a whim.
Review
The latest Lookism chapter delivers an action-packed and intense setup for the much-anticipated battle between Gun Park and Shintaro Yamazaki. Hopefully, we will find out who named Gun Park “Shiro Oni” as well.
Overall the chapter was solid and Gun Park Past Arc is going to conclude soon as well.
