LEA Research Lab is inside the HP Evolution Institute. I have already discussed this dungeon in my guide on how to get Rebecca Deviant.
This article will provide a detailed discussion of the LEA Research Lab dungeon.
LEA Research Lab is the only dungeon in the game that drops weapon mods.
This dungeon came with the phase 4 update and is considered to be one of the hardest dungeons in the game.
Completing the LEA Research Lab requires defeating three powerful bosses.
To successfully defeat these bosses, I recommend bringing the MP7 and Doombringer shotgun.
How To Defeat LEA Research Lab
Head to the HP Evolution Institute and enter the LEA Research Lab dungeon, also referred to as the LEA Research Facility Lab.
Before entering the dungeon, make sure to calibrate your armor and repair any damaged gear.
Upon entering the building, locate the red door to initiate the encounter with the first boss.
Secure Polarized Deviants – Boss#1
Stand next to a securement Tube to defeat and secure the Polarized Deviant of the same element as the tube.
Two securement tubes (one orange for fire, one blue for ice) and polarized deviants (with corresponding colored shields) will appear.
Your objective is to send these monsters into the securement tubes.
To defeat and secure a monster or deviant in the securement tube, stand within the circle that matches the color of the monster’s shield and deliver the final blow.
Once completed, the deviants or bosses will be secured within the securement tubes.
Defeat Dr. Manheim – Boss#2
This time, there are five tubes and a single boss. Follow the same procedure, ensuring the correct Deviants are placed into their corresponding containers.
The boss becomes immune after 2-3 minutes so you need to secure the deviants again in order to fully kill the boss.
Be mindful of the boss’s Area of Effect (AOE) skill, a ground slam that sends out damaging waves. To avoid this attack, either jump or take cover behind a pillar.
How To Secure Rebecca Deviant
The final phase requires you to be inside a bubble to damage the boss. Once this is done you will get a chance to secure Rebecca Deviant, this deviant can summon Mitsuko.
Training Phase For Third Boss
This encounter serves as a tutorial for the final boss’s mechanics. You will need to destroy disciples to gather Stardust Crystals, which can then be thrown at the spores to inflict damage.
Defeat The Mother of Life – Final Boss #3
The third boss introduces a new mechanic, as previously demonstrated in the training phase. Players must collect orbs from disciples and throw them at spores to defeat the boss.
The boss will subsequently become immune, necessitating the utilization of mechanics from previous encounters to disable the shield.
Defeat disciples to obtain Stardust Crystals.
Secure Four Tubes with Deviants
Throw the crystals at the Spore piles (depending on the color) to spawn polarized deviants with matching shields.
Defeat the polarized deviant while positioned on the corresponding securement tube to secure it.
After securing all four tubes, resume attacking the boss. However, upon completing the securement of the tubes, the boss will acquire a new ability.
Repeat the steps to secure the deviants once the boss becomes immune again, which will occur when the boss has only two health bars remaining.
Stay Inside The Circle
The final phase requires you to be inside a bubble to damage the boss otherwise your bullets won’t do much damage.
If you have teammates, divide them into two groups: one dedicated to eliminating flying enemies and the other focused on clearing ground enemies.
Successfully defeating The Mother of Life will clear the dungeon.
Final Words
Lea Research Lab Dungeon is not worth completing alone, you won’t succeed. Movement speed is more important than armor for this dungeon since you need to dodge the second boss’s slams on the ground.
Try to take cover when the boss starts counterattacking. If you are doing this in a team communicate properly with your teammates.
Also, the final boss is a bit complicated so make sure you understand the task.
