Kaiju No 8 Chapter 109 was released today but it was extremely short, like there was no fight at all just some scenes of Mina and Kafka from their childhood. The author really knows how to create the hype and I have no idea what schedule the creator follows for this manga.

The chapter starts with Kid Mina asking Kid Kafka what kind of troop member he wants to be.
On this, Kafka says he is going to break the record by reaching 99% suit combat release and he will become a Swordsman and a Gunner too. Kafka asks her the same question and she says she wants to save lives.
Back to the present, we see Kafka and Mina facing Kaiju No 9. Kafka admits he wanted to face the Kaiju alone but Ichikawa helped him realize that things don’t work like that. They both realize that they didn’t grow up to be what they promised but they have to keep pushing.
