What Happened in Kagurabachi Chapter 51?

The latest chapter starts with a flashback of Mr. Samura and Chihiro. It was revealed Mr Samura blinded himself.

At that time Chihiro age was fourteen and Mr Samura was curious about Chihiro's face since he was the son of his mentor.

Samura blinded himself to avoid worldly things like desire and greed which could lead him to hell. Shiba teases him about a cigarette he holds but doesn't light, which Samura claims is just a distraction.

Samura reveals that he has promised Buddha he won't do it. Meanwhile, young Chihiro is doing sword training, Mr Samura then tells him you are hesitating, give me the sword, and I will show you.

Back in the present, the hired sorcerers with life-draining weapons have invaded the temple. The monks are defending the temple and Mr Samura arrives at the scene.

Hakuri and Yoji are worried about how will Mr Samura fight since he is blind and is wielding an ordinary sword. Meanwhile, Mr Samura lights up the cigarette and says:

I am gonna need to get fired up here.

The hired sorcerers thought Mr Samura made it easier for them as he is blind and is a sword owner, they can just easily kill him, but in that instant, Mr Samura kills one of the hired sorcerers.

They are shocked as they didn't make any sound but he was able to pinpoint the enemy and kill him. The enemies then plan to attack him without making any sound but Mr Samura was still able to pinpoint them and kill them, he easily overwhelmed all of them at the scene.

The chapter ends with the panel shifting back to a flashback and young Chihiro getting impressed by Mr Samura's sword skills.
