JJK 269 Release Date and Yuta Fate Explained – When Will Leaks and Spoilers Arrive?

JJK 269 is scheduled for 15th September. Yuji has finally defeated Sukuna with the help of Megumi and Nobara. Uraume also ended up committing suicide as there was no point in fighting without Sukuna.

Only three chapters are left before the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga concludes. Yuta’s fate is uncertain and the upcoming chapter will show us what is going to happen to Yuta.

This article will cover the release date of JJK 269 and recap the events of the previous chapter.

When Will JJK 269 Release?

JJK 269 will officially be released on 15th September as per the schedule shared by the manga publisher. There is a break next week, which is why the upcoming chapter is delayed.

Due to the break, JJK 269 spoilers are expected to be released on September 12th, 2024.

Where Can I Read The Spoilers?

The spoilers usually arrive on Twitter in Raw. However, I translate and publish the chapter in English on Replay Jutsu as soon as I receive the raw spoilers.

Officially the chapter will be released on Manga Plus (The Official Publisher). However, unofficially the spoilers usually arrive on social media platforms. Prominent leakers like Mya will release the chapter on twitter.

If you want to read the chapter with correct translations, the chapter will be released on Sunday.

What Happened in JJK 268?

The chapter opens with a conversation between Sukuna and Megumi. Desperate, Sukuna attempts to persuade Megumi to surrender his body once more, reminding him of the tragic murder of his sister.

However, Megumi even though given up completely, decided to live for others. He then tells Sukuna that he is happy as Sukuna is going to die.

Megumi explains that Sukuna’s death will cause the 19 fingers to vanish.

Moreover, Nobara’s recent Resonance attack has severed the connection between the last remaining finger and the others.

Sukuna’s End

Sukuna is then separated from Megumi and Megumi is finally free from Sukuna’s possession.

Sukuna transforms into the cursed spirit. Yuji holds him in his hand.

There is a flashback to Yuji asking Sukuna to release Megumi or else he will kill him. Sukuna acknowledges Yuji and says:

“I will commend you for playing the fool to this extent. Yuji Itadori, don’t underestimate me. I’m a curse now.“

However, we then see Sukuna’s cursed spirit fading away, without a vessel Sukuna cannot survive. Thus confirming, that Sukunaverse is finally over.

On the other hand, Uraume commits suicide after admitting that the only reason Sukuna lost is because he was in an incarnated body.

Following a time skip, Megumi awakens to find Yuji presenting him with Nobara, who is surprisingly alive.

Gojo Letters to Nobara and Megumi

It’s revealed that Gojo left letters for Megumi and Nobara, entrusting them to Shoko, who in turn passed them on to Yuji.

Gojo tells Nobara where her mother is but she doesn’t care.

Gojo tells Megumi about his father and that he killed him. Megumi smiles after reading this.

We see that Maki, Panda, Inumaki, Kusakabe, Momo, Nobara, and Yuji are going to meet up to save Yuta. Turns out Kusakabe was saved too.

Yuta is alive, though the circumstances surrounding his survival remain a mystery. We do see someone mocking Yuta, but we don’t see who he/she is.

JJK 269 Theory – How Can Gojo Return?

At the end of the chapter. the author wrote a question “Can Yuta survive?”. This confirms that Yuta’s life is in danger but for now, he is alive.

Yuta utilized his copy technique to replicate Kenjaku’s technique, allowing him to inhabit Gojo’s lifeless body.

With a five-minute time limit on his copied ability, Yuta managed to unleash a domain expansion, weakening Sukuna.

However, his domain shattered, and he collapsed from cursed energy exhaustion. He remained unaccounted for until now.

However, after his domain shattered, he also fainted due to the lack of cursed energy. He was then never mentioned again until now.

Gojo was killed by Sukuna, and sliced in half. However, Shoko patched him up to save Yuta as he was also sliced by Sukuna.

What Will Happen To Yuta?

Yuta’s body was also patched up by Shoko, but we saw Rika holding Yuta’s lifeless body too. There were 3 outcomes to copying Kenjaku’s technique.

• Yuta will live as Gojo forever.
• Yuta’s copy technique timer will expire and he will die.
• Yuta will return to his body after the timer expires.

Gojo And Yuta in One Body Theory

Shoko has already patched his body up, so if it is possible somehow he can return to his body. However, there are multiple fan theories that Gojo and Yuta can coexist, this is the only way to bring Gojo back.

Geto died, but after Kenjaku used his body to seal Gojo away, upon hearing Gojo’s voice his body somehow reacted and tried to kill himself.

So that means in the JJK world, even after death the conscious is still somewhere deep inside.

This means Gojo can return and Gojo and Yuta can co-exist like Hana and Angel in a single body.

Honestly, I don’t think Gege is going to bring Gojo back as those letters were to give Closure to the trio and to show them how much Gojo loved them.

Final Words

There are a lot of loose ends Gege needs to tie up, he did conclude Uraume and Hakari’s battle but still no mention of the merger. The whole culling arc was to activate the Merger.

The manga will be ending in September. I really hope the ending ties up all the loose ends.
