Okay, maybe not quite Super Saiyan levels, but JJK 256 was INTENSE! The leaks are out, and it looks like things are finally starting to swing in our heroes’ favor…but Sukuna’s not down for the count yet. Let’s discuss everything that happened in JJK 256.
JJK 255 Recap
JJK 255 was all about Miguel and Larue finally joining the fight! It turns out Yuta had a deal with them – help take down Sukuna, and they can properly say goodbye to Geto.
Yuji finally recovers and Maki is BACK even after that nasty Black Flash hit. Our squad is almost at full strength!
Sukuna’s Down, But Not Out
Yuta’s crew was watching and waiting for the perfect moment. All those injuries Sukuna got earlier are really hurting him now:
- No more Domain Expansion.
- One arm completely gone, another messed up.
- Reverse Cursed Technique seems to be slow.
Gojo and Black Flash (JJK 256 Spoilers)
The leaks kick off with a flashback. Gojo’s dropping some information about Black Flash, and even though he seems frustrated he can’t control it. We all thought six eyes made him use Black Flash willingly. However, that was not the case. Then he talks about Nanami having landed more Black Flashes than him.
Gege drops a note saying Yuji will eventually surpass even Gojo in the number of Black Flashes landed. Is this foreshadowing that Yuji will become the strongest sorcerer? We’ll have to wait and see!
Sukuna’s Brutal Comeback
Back in the present, the big fight is underway. Miguel’s worried that Sukuna hitting a Black Flash could completely turn things around. He’s not wrong! Even injured, Sukuna’s starting to find his rhythm and regain his power. Choso realizes they need to take him down NOW, before he fully recovers.
The team – Miguel, Maki, Choso, and Yuji – go all-in on a coordinated attack. There’s a great combo move from Yuji and Choso, but Sukuna’s still too quick. Maki manages to close in, but just as she lands a blow… BAM! Sukuna hits her with his third Black Flash. Ouch. It gets worse, as he lands a brutal dismantle attack right after.
Sukuna keeps the pressure up with relentless attacks, even managing to land his FOURTH Black Flash in a row on Choso!
The Fight Isn’t Over Yet
But even when it looks hopeless, our heroes don’t give up. Choso uses some last-minute blood armor to protect himself, and Yuji comes in swinging, landing a strong punch. It seems like Yuji’s punches might be the key to disrupting Sukuna’s Cursed Energy output, even with all those Black Flash power-ups!
Moreover, we also saw Yuji use Piercing Blood. Finally, he has learned some Blood Manipulation techniques just like Choso.
Larue’s Big Move
Miguel wants to call a retreat since they’ve helped, but Larue refuses. It turns out there’s a way deeper reason he’s fighting alongside everyone. His Cursed Technique can grab someone’s “heart”, literally pulling their mind elsewhere! He uses this on Sukuna, and at that precise moment, Yuji lands a HUGE Black Flash. The chapter ends with the epic line: “Itadori Yuji Awakens“.
What Comes Next?
Sadly, we’re on a break next week! The wait for JJK 257 will be tough. Did that Black Flash seriously damage Sukuna? What does “Itadori Yuji Awakens” even mean? Is he about to unlock a new level of strength?
