Back in 2022, Crunchyroll, basically THE anime streaming giant, got bought by Sony and teamed up with another anime heavyweight, Funimation. This meant a ton of anime titles, including Jujutsu Kaisen, moved with them. JJK is not available on HBO Max anymore.
HBO Max used to have a lot more anime. However, those licenses cost money, and services have to make choices. Sadly, losing a bunch of anime was one of those choices for HBO Max.
Streaming Platforms like HBO Max and Netflix need licensing deals to put shows on their Platform. These deals get made all the time, and sometimes they change. That means shows we love can vanish from a platform.
It’s not all bad news! Crunchyroll is the main anime streaming platform, and JJK lives here. Netflix and other services have Jujutsu Kaisen too, depending on where you live. It’s worth checking them out!
The JJK shuffle is a reminder that streaming is always changing. One day a show’s there, the next it might be poof! It’s pretty frustrating, but unfortunately, that’s part of the deal in this online world.
The good news is, that sometimes you can even find free options! Crunchyroll lets you watch with ads if you don’t mind a few interruptions during those intense battles.
