How To Find Valve Wheel in Dead Island 2 Haus DLC

How To Find Valve Wheel in Dead Island 2 Haus DLC

Find Us on Socials

Dead Island 2 throws you back into the zombie-infested chaos, this time in the sunny (and blood-soaked) landscape of LA. It’s a blast, with the same frantic combat and co-op fun that hooked fans of the original. But hey, sometimes even seasoned survivors need a little help, especially with the Haus DLC’s puzzle-filled “Rite of Passage” mission.

One of the hurdles in this mission involves finding the missing Valve Wheel. This little fella is essential to get a furnace roaring in the attic. It’s your key to completing the mission’s objective: destroying a valuable possession with fire (don’t worry, the burning is symbolic, not a gameplay sacrifice). Without this wheel, the story grinds to a halt. Sadly, Dead Island 2 isn’t big on obvious clues for this one.

Valve Wheel Location

Good news – the Valve Wheel isn’t tucked away in some far corner of the map. Here’s where the hunt gets easy:

  1. We’re not abandoning the furnace forever, just taking a quick detour. Head back downstairs from the attic.
  2. At the bottom of the stairs, swing a left into the room opposite the burning fire.
  3. You’ll spot a half-open (or fully open, if you’re the curious type) closet.
  4. Inside that closet, check the second shelf from the top on your left. The Valve Wheel should be sitting there, just waiting to be grabbed.

What To Do With Valve Wheel

Now you’ve got the Valve Wheel, all that’s left is this:

  1. Return to the attic and attach the Valve Wheel to the Gas Pipe Valve.
  2. Turn that Valve Wheel and watch the furnace ignite!
  3. Time for Sacrifice: Choose your least favorite weapon (we won’t judge) and toss it in the flames as instructed.

With that done, you’ve completed this part of the “Rite of Passage.” Just remember to track your “Invitation Quest” afterward to keep the DLC adventure rolling.
