If you are new to Once Human, and with The Way of Winter update releasing on October 17th, you are probably wondering how to increase your capture rate of capturing Deviants.
At some point, you might notice the capture rate being as low as 0.4% for some Deviants. Well, there is a way to increase the deviant capture rate and I will be discussing the method in this article!
How To Increase Deviant Capture Rate
There are three types of Deviants in Once Human: Combat, Territory, and Crafting. To capture them, you have to interact with each one and then secure it.
When you get close to a Deviant bubble, you will see the “chance to secure,” which tells you the odds of capturing it.
If the chance is too low, there is a higher risk the Deviant will escape when you try to secure it. To increase the capture rate or ‘chance to secure’, the only thing you need to do is upgrade your gloves.
If you are using tier-1 gloves, upgrade them to tier-2 for a better chance. For gloves tier 3 and above, you will need to craft an Intermediate Gear WorkBench.
You can unlock this bench through Memetics and then go to build mode and place it anywhere in your base.
