The ‘Find the Data Vault‘ quest in False Flag is a stealth mission in Star Wars Outlaws. The main objective is to locate and access the data vault within an Imperial Fuel Station to steal parts for the spaceship without triggering any alarms.
Moreover, you also need to rescue a prisoner named Bosnok, he will help you if you help him get free. In this article, I will guide you on how you can find the data vault.
How to Find the Data Vault
Find the Imperial Fuel Station. Once you have found the station, you need to check in with Waka. He will try to convince you not to proceed, but Kay will insist on sneaking in through the cargo elevator. Now you will be tasked with finding the data vault.
Sneak outside the ship
You need to sneak outside of your ship and then without getting detected, you need to go right, the location will be marked on your screen, as shown in the image below.
You can’t go there directly. Instead, use the crates as cover, sneak from the right, and proceed through the opening shown in the image below.
Now, you will come across a sled, I have attached the screenshot of this as well, activate it and move along with it to avoid getting detected.
Once you are inside, you need to find a terminal with info on the data vault. On your right, you will come across a vent, open it, and go through that.
Find Control Access Room
Find the platform and stand on it, it will take you upwards, now go right from there. You will see a door, open it, and go right and hide behind the crates. Wait for the guards to leave and then enter the room on your left.
Inside the room, you will encounter two guards, stay undetected, and use Nix to distract the guard on your left while you kill the one in front of you. Now kill the other guard as well.
Access the computer in front of you to unlock the door, you will now be tasked with reaching the data vault.
Use the ladder outside the room to go upwards, and then enter the room on your left. To enter this room, you will need to lockpick using a data spike, I have already created a guide for that.
Once you enter, you will see two clone troopers on your right. Use Nix to sabotage the system there as shown in the screenshot I have attached.
Do the same thing with both clone troopers you did with the two guards in the access control room. Use Nix to distract one, while you kill the one in front of you, then finish the second one as well.
Move forward and then open the door to the room on your left. Use the ladders to go down. Then use the air vent in front of you.
Once you are out of the vent, override the lock on your right using the data spike.
Go inside, and then use the ladder to go upwards. Use Nix to press the button in front of you as there are multiple clone troopers in front of you. Now use the data spike again to unlock the door on your left.
Keep moving and sneak past the guards, you will see a ladder, use it to go upwards. However, once you reach at top, the room will be shielded with a barrier, ask nix to press the button in front of you to turn it off.
Kill the guard in front of you and then access the computer. On the table on the right you will find an MG-2 Power Exceeder.
Click on disable cameras, a mini puzzle will show up on your screen. After completing that you will be able to disable the barriers and security cameras. Now open the door on your right and keep moving.
A guard will be guarding the computer in front of you, kill him to access the computer. When you access the computer it will show you this information:
After this, you will see a room on your left. Jump from there and enter the room.
Reach Data Vault Easily
Once you are inside, there will be another door, enter that. Now a lot of players will jump directly down. Don’t do that, instead go on your left.
Use nix to activate the button to move the ship prototype away, as shown in the image below:
Now use the grappling hook to move there, look above and the mark will show up to hook.
Jump to the next platform and then use the grappling hook again and then grab onto the vents, after that grab the ledge on your right.
Drop down and then hide behind the crates, there is a clone trooper right in front of you. So, use nix to distract him, while he is distracted use the grappling hook to move across and then knock him down.
Now go to that room right in front of you. In order to open the door you will need to use the data spike to hack the door again.
Complete Data Vault Task
You are now inside the data vault. Open the chest on your left and you will receive Blaster Recirculator. Access the computer right in front of you.
A cutscene will show up and Bosnok will be there explaining who he is. He will agree to help you if you free him, you will have two choices Frame Crimson Dawn or Frame the Pykes. I went with Frame the Pykes.
Final Words
You will then be tasked with calling up the cargo elevator, the rest is easy. Help Bosnok, Thorden’s bookkeeper, escape the station by activating his sled and clearing obstacles in his path.
Gain access to the cargo area and override the authorization system to allow Bosnok’s escape. Fight your way through Imperial forces to reach your ship.
Fly to a debris field and disrupt Imperial communications to clear your wanted status. Land on Toshara and head to Mirogana to meet with Eleera and complete the mission.
