After waiting for so many years, Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is finally here. The episodes are released weekly, so if you are like me and cannot wait but can’t read the manga either due to lack of time, read this article to find out what happens in the Water Dragon God Arc.

Acnologia was defeated. Natsu and his friends reunite to do a quest that has never been completed before. It’s very difficult and even the strongest mage from Fairy Tail, Gildarts, failed the quest.

Three new members are introduced to the Fairy Tail guild. One of them is arrogant and badmouths other guilds. Laxus scares the two members while the third member Touka decides to stay. She told the guild member that she is there because of Natsu.

Magia Dragon

The team then reaches the location to get the quest, however, they find a dragon sleeping there which is the Magia Dragon.

They learn that the Magia Dragon is actually the founder of all the Mage Guilds and the first master of the Magia Dragon Guild. His actual name is Elefseria, and tells Natsu that they are the 99th group who arrived here to get the 100 Years Quest. All of the 98 groups failed in doing the quest.

He is a Dragon Slayer who turned into a dragon himself. Natsu and his team sign the deal with Magia Dragon to start the quest. The quest involves sealing the five dragon gods in different locations.

Ermina Town and Water Dragon God

The first location the crew heads to is Ermina Town, a town in which people worship Mercphobia, the water dragon god. They are welcomed as guests however as soon as Gray mentions Water Dragon God’s name, they become cautious and start fighting Natsu and his team.

Lucy then turns everyone into a fish so that they can find out more about the Dragon God. Another guild appears in front of Natsu and the crew who claim to be the 5th Generation Dragon Slayers who got their powers from eating the dragons.

Natsu is unable to use his powers underwater and is overwhelmed by the dragon slayer. Gray and Erza join the fight too. However, the dragon slayer brought a partner and then tells the team that they are the Diabolos guild, all members are 5th generation dragon slayers.

The Water Dragon God Mercphobia then appears in front of Natsu who turns out to be a decent person who prefers a conversation over a fight.

The Water God Dragon explains that his powers were stolen by someone who calls himself the White Mage.

The Water Dragon God then tells Natsu his powers are causing a disaster in a nearby city. The city is sinking into the ocean because of his magic.

There seems to be no way to stop the disaster other than defeating The Water Dragon God. So, Natsu and his crew defeat him and the city starts to rebuild itself in the end.

Who is Touka in Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest

Touka is a new recruit who wants to join Fairy Tail Guild. She is a water-type magic user and seems to be a big fan of Natsu, calling him her “sweet darling”.

However, when Laxus scared every other new recruit, she didn’t leave. Gajeel thinks Touka is hiding something, so he starts investigating her.

Jellal Fernandez is also investigating her by asking other guilds about her. However, this is one secret I won’t spoil in this article.

Final Words

In the end, the first Dragon God has been sealed and 1/5 of the quest is already completed. However, it does not mean that every other Dragon God is going to be the same as the Water Dragon God. Mercphobia actually cared about the town and he was helping them. Natsu and his friends then head toward Wood Dragon God.

I will publish the other arc explanations as well as soon as I complete reading them.
