Aliens saved Earth from a massive meteor crash and brought along their advanced tech. Now, humans owe them big time, and aliens live among them, but it is not exactly a happy coexistence.
While most people are grateful for the aliens help and their tech upgrades, the aliens treat humans like second-class citizens.
They see themselves as superior because of their advanced technology, and humans are just supposed to deal with it. That is where our two protagonists, Kitami and Nomamoto, come in.

What Happened in Drama Queen Chapter 1?
Nine years ago, these aliens saved Earth from a giant meteor, and now they live side by side with humans.
Some humans are cool with it, they have high-tech gadgets now and survived a meteor crash.
But others, like Nomamoto, feel left behind. She is just 17, barely scraping by, and dealing with an alien boss who treats her like dirt.
Drama Queen Chapter 1 starts with Nomamoto walking down the street, minding her own business. Then, suddenly she gets elbowed by an alien.
Her nose is bleeding, but the alien denies everything, and his human girlfriend apologizes for him. Apparently, aliens have big egos and never say sorry.
At her factory job, Nomamoto’s alien boss smacks her for no reason. She can’t fight back getting fired is not an option.
But then she meets Kitami, another human who stands up to the alien boss. He’s fed up too, and that is how they bond over their mutual alien hatred.
Later, Kitami opens up about his tragic past his family was killed by a drunk alien driver, and the cops did nothing, fearing alien retaliation.
Nomamoto’s situation worsens when her boss’s careless actions lead to his own death. Nomamoto gets fired anyway. While processing her termination letter, Kitami calls asking for a favor.
He has killed an alien bully and needs her help. At first, she hesitates, but eventually, she agrees.
They cook the alien to hide the evidence, and Nomamoto even eats some of the meat, though Kitami does not.
By the end of the chapter, they come up with a plan, Kitami will kill the aliens, and Nomamoto will handle the evidence by eating them.

Even though the manga is trending, the ‘alien-hate’ plot seems to have started controversy on social media platform X.
A lot of readers are not happy about the direction the manga is going, some people just can’t separate fiction from reality. At the end of the day, it is just a manga.
