The big blue giant boss “Wandering Wight” is an optional boss, which means you can simply ignore the boss early game.

However, if you are like me, and never run away from the challenge, then let’s get on with finding this big blue Thanos-shaped boss and defeating it.

So, after defeating Bullguard, I came across Wandering Wight accidentally, and I was like Thanos what are you doing in Black Myth Wukong?

How To Defeat Wandering Wight

The location is right next to the first mini-boss, Bullguard, near the Outside The Forest Shrine in Forest of Wolves.

Once you reach the shrine, defeat two enemies in front of you, and near the bridge, an elite will be waiting for you, defeat him, and right across the bridge, you will encounter Wandering Wight as shown in the GIF below.

You will find the Guangzhi boss in the same location just left of Wandering Wight inside the temple.

The one thing I love about this RPG is, you can reset your build stats anytime when you come across a shrine in the game.

Focus on Stamina Build in Foundation

Though Wandering Wight is an early boss it is relatively easier to defeat. Try to focus on stamina and survival (maximize stamina) in your foundation build.

Once you go near him to initiate the battle, dodge all of his first attacks. His attacks are pretty slow and can be dodged easily however they deal a lot of damage.

Start with a heavy attack using right click and stagger the boss, then use this as an advantage and use the light combos on him.

As I mentioned above, your build should focus on stamina to defeat this boss. Perform multiple combo attacks exactly after the boss attacks you as there is a small window between those attacks.

After the slam ground move, he will throw a projectile light that deals heavy damage, and dodge that at all costs.

Use Immobilize Spell and Combo Attacks when Staggered

Combo attacks will use up a lot of stamina, so if you have completely depleted the stamina, try to waste time and regain the stamina.

The Immobilize spell is a useful tool to interrupt the boss’s attacks and create opportunities to stagger Wandering Wight.

If you keep staggering him, eventually it will knock the boss over, leaving it vulnerable to more attacks. You have to repeat this process to defeat Wandering Wight.

This whole fight took me about 3-4 minutes but the fight duration depends on your build too.

Also, a guy on Reddit defeated Wandering Wight while taking no damage from the boss at all.

Final Words

Once you defeat Wandering Wight, you will receive 1.5K XP and 761 Will. But the real reward you will get is Cat’s Eye Beads which is curios that increases the critical hit chance.
