Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC was released yesterday and I’ve been exploring new dungeons for a while now. There is a secondary boss you can beat to get the Death Knight’s Twin Axes. However, it is not mandatory to defeat him this is just to get the reward.
Fog Rift Catacombs is a new location added in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, located in the southeast of Rauh Ruins. Look for a foggy area with coffins to find the entrance.

How To Find Death Knight #1
You’ll find the first Death Knight at the very end of the Fog Rift Catacombs. Once you are at the door of Fog Rift Catacombs, enter it, keep following the stairs, and reach the bottom by taking the elevator-type thingy.
Once you are at the bottom move forward there will be a dead end you have to go left from there to a big room. However, there will be a spiky death trap so you need to be careful for that.
Reach the other side of the room and then go right from there. Sometimes there will be some ranged enemies but you can just ignore them and move forward.
Now you will see stairs going downward, go there. First, you need to go right, and on the dead body, you will see the Dragon Knight’s cookbook, pick it up, go back, and then go left.
You will see a moving elevator, jump on it to go up. Once you reach there explore a bit to find another deadbody with Great Ghost Glovewart.
You will also find another loot called Ash of War Blinkbolt if you explore a bit. After you have got all the loot, find the ladder leading downwards and use it to go downward.
Afterward, find the elevator use the lever to call it back up, and go to the bottom of the dungeon to find the Death Knight. Enter the Rift to fight the boss.
Defeat Death Knight
The Death Knight has a strong wing attack. When he uses it, quickly move out of the way and then attack him while he’s recovering.
If you’re a magic user, summoning the Mimic Tear spirit can be a huge help. It will distract the Death Knight, giving you time to cast spells from a safe distance.
The Death Knight also has lightning attacks. When you see him charging up yellow lightning, be ready to dodge to the side.
When he attacks with his axes, dodge and run away to create space. Then, attack him with a spell from a safe distance or just use any ranged weapons.
Once you defeat him you will receive Death Knight’s Twin Axes and 110,000 Runes.
