The Chainsaw Man 175 chapter has been released and this chapter is really special chapter since it has no speech at all.
Pochita consumed Mouth Devil in the previous chapter and the concept of mouth was removed from the world.
CSM 174 revealed the public safety motive behind targeting the chainsaw man. They actually want the newly introduced aging devil to be consumed by Pochita so the concept of aging is removed from the world.
The Aging Devil wanted a sacrifice in return. He demanded 10,000 Japanese children be murdered aged between 0-9 in front of mirrors.
The Japanese government agreed to Aging Devil’s terms and was ready to make the deal. However, as soon as Fumiko Mifune reached her phone, they all realized the concept of mouth had been removed.
The last panel of CSM 174 then shows that Octopus, Mouth, Snow, and Bitterness have been erased from the world.
What Happened in CSM 175?
The chapter starts with the aftermath of the previous chapter, where the Mouth Devil has been devoured. This has resulted in people all over the world losing their mouths and the ability to speak.
A group of civilians encounter Pochita, some try to run away while some try to fight Chainsaw Man but fail.
Denji has officially become a villain now even though he always wanted to be the hero that saves the civilians.
We then see Katana Man and Asa (controlled by Yoru) arriving at the scene. Yoru goes straight for the head but Chainsaw Man overpowers her easily and defeats Katana Man.
Pochita defeats Yoru too, but then hesitates to kill her, what I believe is that Pochito knows Denji cares about Asa a lot which is why Chainsaw Man couldn’t kill Asa in this chapter.
The chapter ends on a cliffhanger, with Yoru looking at Chainsaw Man in shock.
Final Words
The chapter literally had no text at all not even a thud, it is going to be really funny once MAPPA animates this chapter.
Most likely we are going to see a flashback in which Yoru’s true motives will be revealed and she will either leave Asa’s body or merge with her completely. Overall the chapter was fun to read.
