The new hyper-realistic shooter game Bodycam is releasing today. You must be wondering if your PC can handle Bodycam especially if you only have an 8GB RAM stick installed. The short answer is yes, technically, but there are a few things you should know first.

If you go to Bodycam’s Steam official store page you will minimum requirements there. 8GB RAM is the minimum RAM requirement for this game.

However, that doesn’t mean your game will run buttery smooth you will have to compromise on a lot of things. The official requirements are listed below:

Bodycam on 8 GB RAM

Technically you can play on 8GB RAM. However, there will be random stutters and lag during the gameplay.

Especially in intense moments with lots of action, your PC might struggle to keep. It might take a bit longer for levels and textures to load in.

Moreover, you will also have to adjust the graphics and you will need to play on lower graphic resolution so that you can have smoother gameplay.

The minimum requirement means 30 FPS at 1080p but that doesn’t mean you will get constant 30 FPS it will depend on the environment.

The game is made on UE5, all the games that were released in 2024 and were developed using UE5 were a lot demanding so what I would recommend is you need to upgrade your system if you have an 8 GB RAM stick, consider getting one more 8 GB RAM stick so you can have a smoother experience.

Final Words

If you are seriously considering playing Bodycam, upgrading your RAM to 16GB is a worthy investment.

If you’re okay with adjusting the settings and dealing with occasional hiccups, then go for it! But if you want the smoothest and most visually stunning experience, upgrading your RAM is the way to go.
