Once you kick off a Content Warning session (by heading out the door of your starting house), the invite system shuts down. This means no bringing in fresh faces until you either finish a full run by hitting that view goal or you don’t meet the quota and the game resets.
Why the Restriction?
There might be some technical reasons behind this, but honestly, it probably comes down to game balance. Content Warning gets harder the more players there are – more mouths to feed, more chaos to attract those creepy monsters. Letting you freely add players mid-game could make it too easy!
But What If I Really Need My Friend to Join?
Unfortunately, the only real option is to restart your session. It’s a bummer, but there’s the upside of starting fresh! It’s worth coordinating with your crew before you start to make sure everyone’s available.
