Blue Lock 278 Spoilers and Review - Noa Wants to Make Kaiser His Rival

What happened in Blue Lock 278?

Blue Lock 278 starts with Rin shocked by the Igarashi’s move. Igarashi stole the spotlight from both Rin and Loki as he pulls off a brilliant play. Turns out it was preplanned and Noa is the one who actually came up with the play.

This foul earns Igarashi praise from his teammates, with Gagamaru calling him a “Godly Monk.” Igarashi got excited but Noa encourages him to stay focused because the match is far from over and the opposing team is still a major threat.

Loki asks Rin if this is over for him but Rin gets frustrated by Igarashi’s actions and calls Igarashi a “monk” and promises revenge.

Noa Uses Isagi as a decoy

After the foul, the game starts again, and Noa teams up with Kaiser and Isagi to push for a goal while Shido and Charles try to sandwich them.

Noa’s play style keeps confusing the opponents, with even Isagi realizing that he’s being used as a decoy.

Tokimitsu Foul

Noa revealed his real motive for playing, he’s not playing just to win, but to help Kaiser evolve into a stronger player so that he can turn him into a rival and evolve even further.

As Noa and Kaiser push forward, Tokimitsu attempts to stop them with a foul. This leads to a yellow card for Tokimitsu.

Nanase defends Tokimitsu’s decision, saying it was necessary to stop Noa and Kaiser’s relentless attack.

But the foul also gives BM a free-kick opportunity, and the spotlight shifts to Kaiser, who is ready to take the free kick.

The chapter ends on a cliffhanger with Kaiser standing over the ball, preparing for his 29-meter free kick while Isagi realizes that everyone is just using him, Noa uses him as a decoy while Rin is using him just to evolve. Isagi is frustrated and says:

Don’t mess with me! I’ll crush you!

Review

The match has been dragging on for many chapters. It has been going on since Chapter 249 and now reaching Chapter 278 and it is still heating up!

It was especially fun to see Igarashi step up and make a game-changing move by stopping Rin and Loki.

The ongoing battle between these ego-driven players is keeping me hooked, and the way Isagi feels used by both Noa and Rin, it seems like we are going to see some good Isagi moments in the upcoming chapter.

Overall, the pacing and strategy-focused action made this a great chapter of Blue Lock. However, I still believe it will be Rin who will score the last goal.
