Bleach TYBW Episode 31 Release Date, Preview and Recap

Yare Yare! finally, some Sosuke Aizen action in the upcoming episode. Bleach TYBW Episode 31 is scheduled to be released on 2nd November 2024.

Shunsui Kyoraku who is now the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13 decided to get help from the big bad of Bleachverse to deal with the biggest threat Soul Society has ever faced.

Ukitake tried to stabilize the Soul King by sacrificing his life, however, Yhwach started to absorb the right hand of the Soul King. There was a 12-minute fighting scene in the latest episode that was not included in the manga.

When Will Bleach TYBW Episode 31 Release?

Bleach TYBW Episode 31 will be released on the 2nd of November, at 7:30 AM PT. While in Japan the episode will release on 3rd November, at 12:30 am JST.

Bleach TYBW Episode 31 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Disney Plus and Hulu.

Recap

Bleach TYBW Episode 30 was titled “The Betrayer” and it showcased the fight between two friends, Ichigo and Uryu Ishida.

Ichigo pretty much held back the entire fight since he was confused with Ishida’s decision to join Yhwach. The episode started off with Ukitake sacrificing his life and using Mimihagi to stabilize the Soul King.

He was trying to become the next Soul King. Yhwach somehow missed these turns of events and that proved there are some things even Yhwach’s ‘Almighty’ can miss.

However, he started to absorb Mimihagi to gain the full powers of Soul King. Ichigo broke free of Yhwach’s control and tried to stop Yhwach while Yoruichi Shihouin tried to add a barrier around the Soul King.

However, Uryu arrived at the scene along with Schutzstaffel. He fired the arrow at Yoruichi and engaged in battle with Ichigo.

Uryu fights with full force, trying to keep Ichigo occupied while Yhwach proceeds to absorb Mimihagi. This fight is actually ‘anime-only’ and does not exist in manga.

Ishida reveals that he is loyal to the Quincies and the Quincy King and that is the only reason he is fighting with Ichigo and the other Soul Reapers.

At the end of the episode, Uryu manages to fire an arrow that pierces through Ichigo and he falls. Meanwhile, Yhwach absorbs Soul King.

I’m going to take everything from Soul King and let the world return to its rightful state.

What To Expect From Bleach TYBW Episode 31?

In the upcoming episode, titled ‘Against The Judgement’, Yhwach will completely absorb Mimihagi and Ukitake will collapse. He will then use his new abilities to surround Soul Society with complete darkness and then create creatures out of that darkness that will take human shape and fight with Soul Reapers.

The Soul Reapers fight back but are overpowered by these creatures and then Sosuke Aizen arrives along with Shunsui. Aizen easily defeats these creatures from his chair using Hado #90.

Shunsui explains his decision to release Aizen, saying they need to fight “evil with evil.” Aizen starts to create a path to the Soul King Palace, signaling the Soul Reapers’ next move in the battle.

Grimmjow will also make an appearance in the upcoming chapter according to the leaks and previews released on social media. The official summary of Bleach TYBW Episode 31 is also released:

Yhwach absorbs the Soul King. A “torrent of power” begins to overflow from his body, turning into a muddy, pitch-black current that attacks the Soul Society. The “torrent” covers the Shakonmaku and blankets the earth. It is a swarm of giant, humanoid eyeball-like beings that bare their fangs at the Shinigami, the enemies of the Quincy. The members of the Gotei 13 fight back, but are gradually engulfed by the endless, overwhelming power. Appearing before the desperate Shinigami is Sōsuke Aizen, the former captain of the 5th Division and a criminal who had committed high treason by leading the Arrancar against the Shinigami.
