Recap

In the previous chapter, Chainsaw Man 179, Aging Devil stood in front of Black Chainsaw Man, offering him a deal.

This deal is a heavy one, if Chainsaw Man eats the Aging Devil, he will recover, but the catch is that 10,000 children will have to die.

However, Chainsaw man declined the offer and started clutching his blood donation drive board, screaming out “Vamvagah”.

Yoru, the War Devil, shows up and sees Chainsaw Man and the Aging Devil together. She gets mad, thinking the Aging Devil is trying to steal her moment of glory.

Yoru has a plan to turn Pochita into a weapon to gain more power, believing that if she succeeds, Denji will be freed and able to live as a normal human.

However, Asa, who has feelings for Denji and is quite unsure about the outcome, tries to calm Yoru down, reminding her that they already have the upper hand since Chainsaw Man can barely fight back.

Yoru reassure Asa that everything will work out. But Asa isn’t fully on board with the plan, so she takes control of the body.

Yoru tells Asa to stop worrying and let her handle the situation, but Asa hesitates. Yoru manages to trick Asa into giving her control back, and without wasting a moment, she fires a finger-shaped bullet at the Aging Devil.

The Aging Devil catches the bullet, mocking Yoru for thinking she could harm him with such an attack.

What Happened in Chainsaw Man 180?

Chainsaw Man 180 title is ‘Aging’s World‘. After the Aging Devil disintegrates Yoru’s attack and mocks her, the aging devil says “bang”, yoru’s favorite word in these recent chapters.

Suddenly, she wakes up in a totally different reality, which leaves her confused. At first, she thinks she might be dreaming, but quickly realizes she hasn’t even fallen asleep yet.

She sees Denji lying in front of him in his human form, she tries shooting him, but nothing comes out.

A stranger comes out seeing Yoru trying to ‘bang (shoot)’ Denji. He informs Yoru that this is the world the Aging Devil created.

He used to be a devil hunter until he ended up making a deal with the Aging devil unintentionally. Turns out he was not the only one, he has been here for the past 82 years and has not found an exit yet.

In this world, nobody ages or dies, the stranger tried to suicide multiple times but he didn’t die. He informs Yoru that there are other humans but apparently, they have lost their minds already.

The stranger thought Yoru was a hallucination he conjured up in this world to deal with his loneliness.

The chapter ended on a cliffhanger with Yoru confused about what to do as there is no escaping the world Aging Devil sent her to.

Review

The title of the latest chapter pretty much explains the whole plot “Aging’s World”. Yoru thought she would be able to easily deal with Aging Devil since she now has Gun Devil powers, Tank Devil powers, and Gun Goddess on her side.

However, Aging Devil proved her wrong in this chapter by trapping her in his own created world. The stranger devil hunter explains he has been here for 82 years without aging or dying, and it’s clear that this place messes with people’s minds.

But War Devil didn’t make any deal with the Aging Devil so most likely she will be able to come out of the “Aging World” in the next chapter.

Overall, Chainsaw Man 180 is a fantastic chapter and we finally are getting some War Devil and Aging Devil action.
