After a one-week break, Chainsaw Man 176 is finally here. FUJIMOTO finally revealed the true motives behind Yoru’s actions.

Recap
The previous chapter stood out due to its complete lack of dialogue as Chainsaw Man consumed the mouth devil and the Mouths were erased from the world. So, no one can speak anymore.
Chainsaw Man encounters a group of anti-Chainsaw Man protestors and decapitates three of them.
The Aging Devil appears and teams up with Katana Man and Yoru. Yoru tries to sneak attack Chainsaw Man with her sword but is easily caught. Chainsaw Man ends up defeating all three of them.
The chapter ends with Yoru kneeling before Pochita. Her expression is difficult to read due to the lack of a mouth. Pochita did spare her, most likely because of Denji’s feelings for Asa.
What Happened in Chainsaw Man 176?
The chapter is titled “Two Children” and it starts with Yoru and Asa in a bathtub. Yoru is showing off her abilities and explaining that now that Asa has fused with her, she can turn things into weapons without naming or touching them.
But this ability is not enough to beat Chainsaw Man. Then Yoru reveals why she wants to defeat Chainsaw Man badly.
Why Yoru Wants To Defeat Chainsaw Man?
She is actually jealous of him, as Chainsaw Man is more feared than she is by humans. She wants to reclaim something from Chainsaw Man.
Turns out he has consumed Yoru’s comrades and she wants to make Chainsaw Man vomit them up. Asa asks if she has a plan to do that.
Yoru reveals she has two weapons in her mind that are powerful enough to even defeat Chainsaw Man.
Asa then becomes angry and says why she didn’t use it in the first place, she used up all her college fund and gave up her home as well.
Yoru then reveals if she uses those weapons, she won’t be able to save her comrades. Asa then tells her to don’t do it, but Yoru is hell-bent on defeating Chainsaw Man to prove she is more fearsome than him.
Yoru Children
The panel changes to the fight, Yoru is still kneeling and Chainsaw Man is in front of her, she reveals she has children, and she will turn her own children into weapons just to defeat him.
She calls Tank Devil and Gun Devil, and they break out of their prisons and fuse with Yoru, her right hand is now the Gun Gauntlet, and her left is Tank Gauntlet.
Her attack then slices off Chainsaw Man’s arm, and her mouth finally returns, which means she made Chainsaw Man throw up the mouth devil.
However, I honestly have no idea how she did it, maybe her attack was strong enough to wound Chainsaw Man’s stomach so that Mouth Devil could come out.
Final Words
The chapter was fantastic! Fujimoto consistently surprises and impresses his readers. Yoru, once dismissed as a fraud, defied expectations by forcing Chainsaw Man to throw up a devil.
