We have already seen Jacob’s Ladder in the past when Hana fought against Sukuna and nearly killed him using this cursed technique. He had to manipulate the angel into stopping the technique so that he can survive.
Jacob’s Ladder is one of the strongest abilities in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. Hana blows the trumpet and a light beam blasts the target, the light is strong enough to kill even Sukuna.
In JJK 263, we saw Yuta’s domain shattering after he managed to destroy Sukuna’s domain as well.
He had 5 minutes to deal with Sukuna before his cursed technique copy ran out and he won’t be able to control Gojo’s body. However, due to using of infinite void (Gojo’s Domain Expansion), his technique stopped early.
But Yuta managed to weaken Sukuna enough for Yuji and Todo to finish the job using Hana’s technique.
Todo got hit by the blackflash and his Vibraslap was about to be broken. He used Vibraslap one last time to teleport Hana directly above Sukuna.
Can Hana Jacob’s Ladder Save Megumi?
While last time, Hana wanted to kill Sukuna and Megumi along with him as Sukuna is controlling the body of Megumi.
If she had done it, Sukuna would have been dead by now. Sadly, Angel’s love for Megumi stopped her from finishing Sukuna.
This time as told in the flashback when Yuta and Hana were talking, we saw they have it all planned, Yuta promised Hana that she does not even need to join the fight, she just needs to do the finishing blow strong enough to separate Sukuna and Megumi. So, if Hana succeeds in completing the Jacob’s Ladder she will be able to free Megumi.
Yuji already used multiple dismantles on the barrier holding Sukuna’s and Megumi’s souls together. At the end of JJK 263, we saw Hana launching the Jacob’s Ladder maximum output on Sukuna.
However, fans still believe Sukuna will survive this time too. He was able to deal with the Hollow Purple off-screen too. Even Todo called him “he is the king of curses for a reason” as he managed to defeat Yuta in Gojo’s body too (in a way, not directly).
Final Words
Gege has confirmed that the Shinjuku Showdown Arc is going to be the final arc of the series so JJK is ending soon. However, this is not the end, Sukuna will most definitely find a way to survive this too.
Do you think Sukuna will survive Jacob’s Ladder this time too, if so how? Share your theories in the comment section below.
