The early spoilers of JJK 262 were just released and as I promised, will be explaining the whole chapter in detail.
First I’m shocked there are only 7 pages this week. However, it has been confirmed that Gege is sick and there will be a break too after this chapter.
In the previous chapter, it was confirmed who the shadowy figure was. It was actually Yuta in Gojo’s body, he used Kenjaku’s technique and is now using Gojo’s body to fight Sukuna. At the end of JJK 261, we saw both Gojo and Sukuna releasing their domain expansion.
Gojo vs Sukuna Round 2 Begins
The latest chapter started where the last chapter left off, with both domain expansions being released. Yuta, surprisingly, manages to shrink Gojo’s Domain Expansion.
By creating a smaller barrier within his Domain Expansion, Yuta hoped to resist the effects of Sukuna’s domain, Malevolent Shrine, for three minutes. (Sukuna’s domain expansion has a time limit of 3 minutes.)
However, Sukuna cleverly shrinks the effective range of his domain to focus solely on Yuta’s barrier, maximizing its power and eliminating the usual time limit. (This time around there is no time limit.) Sukuna is hoping to defeat Yuta and then expand the range to kill everyone else in the area too.
Yuta didn’t expect this as he wanted to end the battle within 5 minutes marker because even he didn’t know what would happen after 5 minutes.
A Surprise Attack By Sukuna
Yuta initially tries to pull Sukuna into his domain using his blue technique, but Sukuna, using Domain Amplification along with his Domain Expansion, manages to bypass Gojo’s Infinity and land a direct hit on Yuta.
Yuta is shocked by this but soon realizes that Sukuna is now using Domain Amplification alongside his domain expansion. Sukuna thought Mei Mei crows were also sending information about the fight inside the domain but he was wrong. Nobody knows what happens inside the domain unless they are in his domain.
The chapter ends with Yuta’s lifeless corpse, held by his cursed spirit Rika. With the time limit for Yuta’s control over Gojo’s body up, the fate of both characters hangs in the balance.
Is Yuta Dead?
Rika is holding his corpse and the timer is up. However, there is not even a hint of what really happened, it’s like the death of Gojo all over again.
Most likely Yuta is dead as Rika is crying and holding the body from this we can assume that Yuta has died.
However, some of the fans believe that he is still in Gojo’s body, and even after the timer is up nothing happened, he is still controlling Gojo’s body.
Can Gojo return?
Some fans still believe that Gojo can return. As geto was able to get back control from Kenjaku for like 5 seconds when Gojo said “Are you going to let him do this to you.”
Geto was actually dead it was just muscle memory and his body reacting to Gojo’s voice. Gojo cannot return as he is dead already.
However, Gege is always throwing twists at us so maybe he will come up with a way to bring back Gojo in the series.
Final Words
As I mentioned above, the chapter is short because Gege is sick and he drew only 7 pages of the chapter. However, he did confirm at the end of the chapter that there will be a 2 week break and the next chapter JJK 263 will air on July 1st, 2024. We will only figure out what really happened to Yuta in JJK 263. Other chapters:
