JJK 261 just dropped a bombshell that has the entire fandom shaken. In the previous chapter, we saw a shadowy figure appear in the smoke as soon as Sukuna was going to do his domain expansion.
We only saw the eyes in the panel so fans predicted it is Gojo.
Turns out, it’s not Gojo at all. It’s Yuta Okkotsu, using Gojo’s body with a stitched-up head!
It’s the same technique Kenjaku used on Geto to take over his body after he died.
Yuta’s Bold Move
The chapter opens with Yuji ready to rip Sukuna apart with his black flash technique and cursed claw hand.
But Sukuna isn’t giving up yet, and as he tries to unleash his Domain Expansion again, he sees a familiar figure standing before him.
Initially, he thinks it’s Gojo. But then, the truth hits him: it’s not Gojo’s soul, it’s Yuta in his body!
The realization is so unexpected, that it even confuses Sukuna for a moment, he directly says to Yuta that he didn’t expect him to steep so low.
How Did Yuta Get Gojo’s Body?
The manga then takes us back to a conversation between Yuta, Maki, and others.
They discuss a risky plan involving Rika, Yuta’s powerful cursed spirit, consuming the villainous Kenjaku to steal his cursed technique.
This technique allows for the transfer of consciousness into another body.
The plan is risky, but they see it as a last resort. Yuta will go to any length in order to defeat Sukuna and protect the world. There are however some risks to Kenjaku’s cursed technique:
- If Gojo’s cursed technique is always on, Yuta’s body or soul can’t handle it, leading to a permanent dirt nap.
- If it’s a one-and-done deal, Yuta might actually keep Gojo’s “Limitless” power flowing past the 5-minute mark.
Once the body swap goes down, Okkotsu’s cursed technique might peace out and he will remain in Gojo’s body forever.
The one we are fighting is the strongest sorcerer in history, Ryomen Sukuna.
If we can win by abandoning our humanity, we should do so without hesitation.
Are you so afraid of becoming a monster? For so long Pushing the burden Of becoming a monster Onto Gojo-sensei alone Again and again!!!
If Gojo-sensei is gone Someone has to become a monster!!!
If no one else is willing I’ll do it!!!
Yuta
The Six Eyes and Limitless
We also get some important information about Gojo’s powers. It turns out the Six Eyes, is a physical trait, not a cursed technique.
This means that can’t be copied, leading Yuta to the drastic decision to inhabit Gojo’s body in order to utilize his Limitless technique.
We see Gojo agree to this plan. He recognizes that if he falls, someone else will have to take up the mantle, and Yuta has always been the second strongest jujutsu sorcerer.
Surgery is performed on Yuta and he takes over Gojo’s body.
Two Domains Clash
Back in the present, the fight between Yuta (in Gojo’s body) and Sukuna intensifies.
The chapter ends with both of them activating their domain expansions – Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine and Gojo’s (now Yuta’s) Infinite Void. It’s a chilling cliffhanger that leaves us eager to see what happens next.
Final Words
This chapter is a game-changer, revealing a shocking twist that no one saw coming.
I mean who would have thought Yuta will take over Gojo’s body?
At first, I thought it was Kenjaku and I was like Gege what is that!!! But Thank God! It was Yuta.
Will he be able to control Gojo’s powers and use them effectively against Sukuna?
How will this impact the fight against the King of Curses? We’ll have to wait for the next chapter to find out.
