There are a lot of confusing missions in Gray Zone Warfare. The game was released recently in early access and I am already hooked to it. One mission that had many rookies (myself included!) scratching their heads is the True Grit mission. However, I’ve completed this mission so this guide will help you complete it too.

The Revolver Retrieval
The True Grit mission comes from Handshake after you’ve explored Hunter’s Paradise in the north of the map. Handshake is a vendor who gives tasks in the Gray Zone Warfare. Basically, you’re tasked with finding an old-fashioned revolver hidden near the shooting range and bringing it back to base. This revolver was used by Jhon Wayne in True Grit.
The quest description says the revolver is around the shooting range! However, The real location is actually in a motel room south of the shooting range.
The coordinates are 161 and 167. The revolver is in the Hunter’s Paradise Motel Room 102. However, you need a key to open the door. You find the key by killing some AI enemies in Hunter’s Paradise.
If you’re playing with a squad, you only need one person to find the key – you can share it to complete the mission!
How To Complete True Grit Mission
Once you have the key, head to the motel south of the shooting range at Hunter’s Paradise (map squares 161, 167). This is the same location for all three factions in the game.
Look for room 102 and use the key to unlock the door. Inside, you’ll find a red case next to the bed – You will find the revolver there.
Now go back to base and report to handshake. Once you present the revolver to Handshake, your mission will be completed.
